I've been a wedding and event photographer for eleven years, and I run every one of my own clients through 1pm.
It started with two things that drove me mad: printed run of shows that were already wrong by the morning of the event, and timeline spreadsheets emailed around until nobody knew which version was current.
So the first thing I built was a live run of show and BEO. One link, no login, and every crew member, supplier and the client sees their own part of it, updating in real time on their phone.
Then came the part I didn't expect. What people actually care about is everything that happens before the event. Leads arrive while you're on a job with a camera in your hand, and whoever replies first usually wins the booking.
So now 1pm answers a lead within X minutes, checks the date is free, and sends back a real quote and brochure. The client adjusts their own hours and numbers, accepts, signs and pays the deposit without me touching it.
That changed what 1pm is. An event management CRM first, with the live run of show as the thing that makes the day itself work.
