"Perfect Season" sports challenges have gotten popular, but almost all of them were likely vibe-coded over a weekend. Pennant Chase has been around since 2008 with a hand-crafted sim engine running multi-player leagues. Leveraging the engine and historic stats, I was able to offer up a 162-0 baseball challenge. I wanted to make it flexible so that fans could build whatever team they wanted, and craft their own challenges such as limiting by decade or franchise. It's been fun to see fans try to accumulate the most losses with their favorite team, or try to hit a specific number like a "perfectly average 81-81 season".
