1MillionFloors is a 3D digital city where brands and individuals can own buildings and become part of an explorable virtual skyline. It reimagines the Million Dollar Homepage concept as an interactive 3D environment: instead of buying pixels on a finite 2D grid, you build a tower whose height determines its visibility. Explore the city, discover brands, and see how far the concept can scale when advertising space goes vertical.
I built 1MillionFloors over roughly 1.5 days as a weekend experiment.
The starting point was 1MillionPixels and, further back, the original Million Dollar Homepage.
I kept asking myself: what would happen if you removed the 2D constraint entirely?
That led to the idea of using buildings instead of pixels and height instead of banner size.
The result is 1MillionFloors: a 3D city where you can actually walk around and discover the brands that have claimed space.
I'm interested to see whether the 3D model can create the same kind of curiosity and viral behavior as the original pixel concept.
